This year is almost half, and Infinix has not ceased to amaze us with its release of a wonderful Android smartphones line-up. And this time around, it's a bit of more additions and improvements to what we have already. While Infinix is used to usually having devices with regular and PRO models, they’re taking a whole new dimension this year with a kind of ‘another naming progression’

The Infinix Hot 10T is the immediate successor to the Infinix Hot 10 Play launched last year. Infinix could've named this device "HOT 10 Pro" or even "HOT 10 Plus", but sticks with "HOT 10T". Anyway, it comes with significant upgrades from its predecessors, and that's what matters most.

One of the upgrades that stand for the Infinix HOT 10T is the 90Hz smooth display, which at first, is unexpected at this price range. But here comes it! You can enjoy a flagship feature at an affordable price. More so, you're getting more value for your money here, as the Infinix HOT 10T comes with a more powerful chipset, larger storage option, better cameras with improved photo and video capabilities, improved battery life, a refreshed design, and the all-new Android 11 software based on XOS 7.6!

With no fuss, the Infinix Hot 10T brings more to the table at an affordable price. But is this device for you? Find out in our review below!

What do you get inside the Infinix hot 10t’s box

Just like every other Infinix smartphone, the HOT 10T comes with all the starter kits inside the box. After opening the retail box, you get to see the Infinix Hot 10T itself shining in whatever colour you’ve chosen. Then, you get all other accessories, including:

  • A 10W charging brick,
  • A micro-USB cable,
  • A screen protection film,
  • A SIM-ejection tool,
  • A pair of wired earphones,
  • A plastic case
  • 1 XGold note associated with Infinix's XClub app.

How good is the infinix hot 10t design?

Right from the onset, Infinix devices are known for their striking designs, and that doesn’t seem to stop yet. As expected from a mid-range/budget device, Infinix HOT 10T comes with a glass front, plastic back, and plastic frame, but Infinix added its shiny touches here, making the device look somewhat premium and sleek.

Looking at its back feels pleasurable, thanks to those vibrant colours and glassy finish. On the back is where you get the camera bump with a black accent, a capacitive fingerprint sensor that makes unlocking the device much faster and secure, and a small “Infinix” branding at the bottom.

In terms of hardware keys, ports and other peripherals, nothing has changed on the HOT 10T. You get the regular volume rocker and power button on the right side, while the SIM +SD card tray sits on the left side. On the bottom is where you’ll find the headphones jack, microphone, micro-USB port, and mono speaker grille.

The display size here is identical to what you get on the HOT 10 Play – the same 6.82" IPS with water drop cutout, but that’s where the fluidity comes in. What makes a better display for the HOT 10T is the addition of a 90Hz refresh rate plus a 180Hz touch sampling rate.

We didn't expect that smooth display to come at this price, but that's what Infinix has for you. You should enjoy the ultra-smoothness and jitter-free screen when you swipe through the screen generally. This 180Hz touch sampling rate also helps in gaming by improving the recognition of your fingers on the display.

How good is the infinix hot 10t camera?

The camera is also where the Infinix HOT saw a significant improvement over its predecessor. Up from 13MP, you get a wide 48MP sensor here, and it captures decent shots. First, the bigger sensor means you can capture sharper and crisper images on the HOT 10T. Also, night shots are going to be brighter than before.

By default, shots coming from the 48MP primary camera are binned down to 12MP, which is pretty good and help reduce storage usage. However, switching to the 48MP mode in the camera interface gives you more detailed and sharper shots when you need them.

There’s also a lot of stuff and camera modes to play with on the Infinix Hot 10. You get the regular shooting mode, beauty mode, ultra-night mode, panorama, time-lapse, video Bokeh, portrait mode, short videos, and many more here.

Infinix also added two other sensors to make up a triple-rear camera arrangement for the HOT 10T. There’s an additional 2MP depth sensor that aids better portrait pictures and videos, as well as an AI lens that does AI stuff there.

Video quality can go up to 2K@30fps, which again is an upgrade over its predecessor. Expect nothing less than crisper and more detailed video footage on the Infinix HOT 10T

Performance

Gone are those days when Infinix devices come with entry-level processors. But now with better processors, performance is better, and you can play high graphics games without getting frustrated.

Powering the Infinix HOT 10T is a MediaTek Helio G70 processor, which performs about 2X better than the HOT 10 Play G35. The Helio G70 is an Octa-core gaming-centered chipset based on a 12nm fabrication. It brings high performance at an affordable price. If you want to play some high graphics games without spending your last penny, just go for this device.

You get plenty of storage and memory enough for multitasking here as well. This device comes with 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. There's also a 64GB variant, and of course, they both come with an expandable storage option.

The Infinix Hot 10T also shares the same "Dar-Link Ultimate Game Booster" and "Game Zone" as found on the Infinix Note 10 Pro and others. These extra features, combined with the Helio G70 chipset, 90Hz +180Hz display, and immersive display adds up for better gaming performance and overall experience.

HOW IS THE INFINIX HOT 10T USER EXPERIENCE?

All these cutting-edge hardware features brought to an affordable price range can be a disaster without an excellent user experience. However, Infinix’s XOS skin is one of the feature-dense Android skins out there, which means you have many user-facing features to uplift your user experience here.

The Infinix HOT 10T runs the latest XOS 7.6 based on Android 11 out of the box. As usual, you get the latest Android features on this device, as well as what XOS 7.6 offers.

If you're an Infinix user already, you should know what XOS offers, but there's even more with the latest XOS 7.6. These include Kids Mode, X-Proof, XClone, improved Game Zone, Video Assistant, Thunder Back, and many other features and tweaks.

How good is the infinix hot 10t battery?

It’s not just the looks, performance, camera, or software; the Infinix HOT 10T comes with a reliable power-house as well. The 5,000mAh battery on this device is enough to power your activities throughout the day and beyond.

While the 90Hz screen refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate can be power-hungry, the Helio G70 chipset is more power-efficient to optimize battery usage. As usual, you get many power-saving options here, such as reducing the refresh rate to 60Hz or letting XOS automate the battery usage for you.

Meanwhile, Infinix’s Power Marathon tech is present here, which claims to give you better battery backup when your battery is low.
