While taking screenshots is useful for keeping what's on our screen, there's more you can do with Screen Recording. Unlike taking screenshots, screen recording lets you keep a video of what's showing on your screen. It can then be useful in sharing a "how-to" video with your relatives, or maybe you need to keep it for reference purposes. The good part of it is that you can make a screen recording on your itel phone, inconsiderate of the model you have. Want to know how? Join us as we guide you on how to screen record on itel phones.
How to Record Screen on itel Screen
Android 10 Native Screen Recorder
If you have an itel phone running on Android version 10 and above, like the itel S16 Pro, then you probably have an inbuilt screen recorder on your phone. Screen recording was introduced as an inbuilt feature on Android 10 Beta. Though it didn't make it to the eventual release, some manufacturers had it running on their phones.
A quick way to check if you have it on your phone is the quick-settings panel. Open the quick-settings panel by swiping down from the top of the screen twice. If you find Screen recording there, this method would work for you. Follow the steps below to make a screen recording on your itel phone.
- Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to open the quick settings panel.
- Find the Screen recording tile or add it if it's not there. To add a new tile, you need to click on the edit icon in the quick settings panel. After that, find the Screen recording Hold and drag the tile to the top row. In case you can't find such a tile as "Screen recording", just skip to 'method 2' below.
- After successfully adding the tile, tap the Screen recording tile to record your screen. Some itel devices may require you to select two or more options before starting the screen record. Do so and hit the Start
- As soon as the recording starts at the count of three (3), you can now navigate your device to record all you want. Tap on the Stop button or hit the Power button to save the video. You can find the recorded video in your gallery app, usually inside the Screen Record
Using Key Combinations
If peradventure, you can't find anything like "Screen recording" in your quick-settings panel, there are still simple ways to record your itel phone's screen. Some newer models (maybe some old models too) let you start screen recording with some key combinations. You already know you could take screenshots on your itel phone by pressing the Power + Volume down buttons. Same applies to making screen records on itel phones, with just a little tweak added to it. Follow the steps below to record your screen with button combinations.
- Turn on your screen and navigate to the screen or app you want to record.
- When you're ready, click and hold the Volume up + Power button simultaneously to record your screen. It works just like taking screenshots, but you need to use the Volume up button instead.
- At the countdown of three (3), your screen recording will start with a bar at the top of the screen showing the video duration. Click the Powerbutton to stop the recording. You can find the recorded video in your gallery app as well.
Using Apps
The two methods mentioned above should work in most cases if your itel phone is running Android 10. But if that doesn't work for you, you'd need a third-party app to accomplish your mission. The valuable part of recording your screen with third-party apps is that they work on all models and have more features compared to the inbuilt screen recorder. While there are many screen recorders on the Play Store, we've chosen AZ Screen Recorder and Google Play Games (for potential gamers).

AZ Screen Recorder
AZ Screen Recorder is one of the best free screen recorder apps on Android. It doesn't just let you record your screen only. You can take screenshots, and as well start a live video using this app. It has a straightforward interface to control your records; either using bubbles or via the notification shade.
- After opening the app, you'll see an orange bubble on the right side of your screen. Click on the video bubble and tap the video button. Now select "Start Recording" to record your screen.
- You may have to grant the app Storage and Audio permissions since you're using it for the first time.
- To stop the recording, tap the orange bubble again and click the stop button. You can also exit the screen record from your notifications panel.
It would save the video to your gallery. You can edit the video inside the app or as soon as you finish recording it. To access the app's menu and settings, click the orange bubble and tap the animated four-square button. You can then adjust the video configuration to suit your needs.

Google Play Games
If you're looking forward to just recording your gameplay, opt-in for Google Play Games. The key feature here is that you can add footage of your face while playing games. It's simple to use and works just fine. It caps videos at 480p or 720p, and that's an advantage for your itel phone. To get started, download the app from the Play Store and follow the steps below.
- Open Play Gameson your phone and select a game you want to record. You'll find your recent games on the front page.
- When you select the preferred game, look straight to the top right corner of the screen. Now click the video record button, then choose video quality.
- Click on Launch to start the game. As soon as the game launches, you would find a large bubble containing the front camera and the screen recorder controls. You can move the video bubble to a preferred location.
- Click on the red button to start recording your screen. When you're done with the gameplay, tap the red button again to stop. You can then drag the video bubble to the middle of the screen to close it.
