STEP 3. At this point, if your old Android phone isn't already powered on, you'll need to pick it up and turn it on. Additionally, it must be wired into the same network as your new phone.

Open the Google app, and either say, "OK Google, set up my device," or type set up my device into the search bar to begin uploading data.

Your new phone will be found by your old one. Choose the data and settings you want to transfer after making sure it has located the correct phone.

STEP 4. You must log into your Google account on the new phone, verify the lock screen technique used on the old phone, and tap Restore to begin the data transfer procedure.

STEP 5. You can follow the on-screen instructions to finish the setup procedure after your new phone has been configured to use the data from your old phone.

A list of Google services that you can enable or disable will be shown to you. Even if you disable these, your phone will still work, but some features won't function.

After that, you may decide whether or not to use Google Assistant's voice match capability and create a new screen lock mechanism for your phone.

STEP 6. You're done when you get to the stage where it asks if there's anything else and gives you a list of choices. If you'd rather, you can choose any of the optional things, or you can hit No thanks to end the setup procedure.
