Why is my android phone narrating everything I do?

You might have unintentionally activated TalkBack when setting up your phone. The TalkBack system is made to provide vocal input to blind people. You can disable TalkBack on the select language screen if you unintentionally enabled it during phone setup by following the steps below.

Part 1. How To Turn Off Narrator On An Android Phone

Step 1. Google Assistant

The quickest method for turning off your narrator is Google Assistant. When you give a command, your phone automatically carries out the same action as it would if you were to manually change something in Settings.

Here's how to disable your narrator on an Android phone using Google Assistant.

  1. Use your phone's power or home button to launch the Google Assistant, or just

       say "Hey, Google."

     2. Say, "Stop Talkback or Narration"

Note: In some Android phones, Talkback is referred to as the Voice Assistant. This does

not, however, disable Google Assistant. It just renders the narrator inoperable.

Step 2. Using The Settings On Your Phone

Here's how to use it to disable the narrator on your Android phone if you can't access

the Google Assistant or find the Settings app more handy.

  1. Launch the Settings software.
  2. Select "TalkBack" under "Accessibility" by scrolling down.
  3. The feature can now be activated and deactivated.
  4. Click "OK," then close the program.C. USING THE VOLUME CONTROL KEYS

When necessary, you can use your Volume key to disable the narrator if you've chosen to use it. If you haven't already, follow these instructions to make your narration work with your volume keys.

  • Open the Settings application.
  • Head to “Accessibility”.
  • In this instance, choose the "TalkBack" shortcut.
  • Choose the volume keys you want to utilize with the shortcut
  • Choose "Save."

Step 3. Using Volume Key

Now that the shortcut is active, here's how to completely disable it on an Android phone by using the volume key and turning off the narrator.

  • For three seconds, hold down both volume keys.
  • Once more, hold the volume for three seconds.
  • It will stop if the narrator is activated. It will turn back on if you don't.

Part 2. How do I Turn Off Talkback When the Screen is Locked

  1. Swipe down then right in a single motion on the screen, as if you were drawing an “L”
  2. You will then see 2 options in the top corners of the screen, select “Pause Feedback”.
  3. When the Suspend Talkback message appears, tap “OK” twice.
  4. Then go to Settings > Accessibility and disable talkback.

CONCLUSION

Turning off the narrator on an Android phone is quite a simple process. In most cases, you might have enabled it accidentally. However, suppose you do have a disability, we recommend setting up a Volume shortcut so you can immediately disable or enable the narrator, depending on your situation
