When your phone is not booting, you can’t chat or make calls or anything else that you normally can do with a mobile phone. The phone is basically left in a state of limbo when it is not booting, something like a coma; alive but not awake. The “phone not booting” error can be caused by a software/hardware malfunction and you can try to solve it by using at least one of the solutions described below.
RESTART YOUR PHONE
A simple restart is sometimes enough to solve phone booting issues. But since your phone isn’t booting, you can’t restart the usual way (using the touch screen). To restart your phone in this state, long-press the power button for 10 seconds to force restart it
REMOVE BATTERY
Do you restart the phone and it still doesn’t go past the booting stage? Then you should remove and replace the battery if you’re using a removable battery model. After replacing the battery, try restarting the phone again. Do not attempt to remove your battery yourself if you’re using a non-removable battery phone.
REMOVE TPU
TPU/Phone casing is often padded with different materials that can sometimes interrupt the proper functioning of your phone’s hardware. Remove any pouch or casing you have used for covering your phone and reboot the phone afterward.
EJECT EXTERNAL MEMORY
A memory card that has been infected with malware is often responsible for a phone not booting. Open the memory card slot and remove the infected SD card. Restart the phone after ejecting the memory to see if it boots
CHARGE PHONE
Fake chargers are notorious for disrupting a phone’s smooth functioning. Charge your phone with its Original charger and reboot after half an hour to get your phone functioning normally again.
RECOVERY AND FAST BOOT
If your phone is still not booting after trying all the above solutions, we recommend that you try booting it through Recovery/Fast boot mode.
To reboot your phone in fast boot mode, press and hold the volume up/down + power button at the same time >>> When you see Android robot on screen, release all the buttons >>> Now you are in Fastboot mode, navigate to ‘Reboot System now’ with your volume keys and reboot your device.
FACTORY RESET
If the booting problems persist after trying all previous solutions, you will have to reset your phone back to its factory settings. To reset factory settings; Press and hold the volume up/down button + power button till you can see the recovery menu >>> Use the volume buttons to navigate to ‘Factory reset’ option >>> Select the option with the power button.
NOTE: Factory resetting your phone will wipe all your phone’s information, so if you haven’t backed up your files on the cloud or a memory card recently, you will lose all information you had on your phone prior to the phone booting problem.
